I’ll add a longer post at some point on the whole online-digital-music-aggregator-distribution-complex. It’s kind of interesting, just from a historical perspective. Back when I started toying with the idea of doing music, Real Audio, Napster, and iTunes were still relatively new on the scene, so it’s strange to see how far things have gone. Basically, anyone with a microphone and laptop can pay around $10 to get access to a world-wide audience. Very democratic, but also information overload.
Anyway, uploaded an acoustic version of one of my old songs, “Inconsequential.” Not holding my breath, but it’d be nice to make my $10 back.
